Commercial Bankruptcies

Mr. Rowland has years of experience advising small business and corporate creditors on preserving their rights in Chapter 11 cases nationwide in many different Federal jurisdictions.  He has researched and developed defenses to preference and fraudulent conveyance demands and lawsuits, as well as other matters that arise in commercial bankruptcy cases.

Real Estate Settlements

Mr. Rowland has title producer's licenses in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  He will work with title companies, lenders and realtors to effectively settle real property transactions.

Family-Based Immigration

Immigration practice primarily limited to family-based petitions.  Will prepare petitions and represent parties going before the INS.

Probate

A personal representative who is not an attorney should always employ an attorney to help him/her manage an estate in probate court.  In addition, whether you are single, a married couple, self-employed or a small business, you should have an estate plan in the form of a will, trusts and/or powers of attorney.

Family Law

Divorce, child custody, and child support issues can be emotional for the parties involved.  It is preferable to settle the child support and custody issues by agreement rather than engaging in costly litigation in court.  However, any agreement should be presented to the court for approval.  Mr. Rowland will represent a party in filing complaints for divorce, custody and support when necessary.
